I have never been in Hundzell, but today there is a reason to visit this small village under the smoke of Ingolstadt. It turns out to be a lazy sunday afternoon in the outback and we enjoy some agri-culture. Way before we enter the gathering of tractors we hear a one potter with a deep sound track. Boom boom boom boom boom.
I want to see the mean black machine up close, but are distracted by a big collection of Unimogs. Sixty years of "universal motor machine" history lined up, side by side. The first models look tiny compared to the later models. Iconic, all of them.
The garden of the local museum is the pivot point of the event. We spend some time in garden, the best spot to take pictures. Mellow light, fluffy shadows. The collection is small, the atmosphere great. Inspirational bunch of machines. Beautiful and bright, simple and functional. Hot rods of the outbacks.
